Undersigning a first time achievement in the rakı industry, Sarper Alcoholic Beverages has made triple distillation standard in its entire product range. The Beylerbeyi brand, introduced at the launch held on the evening of 5 July, with the participation of rakı loving gentlemen, aims to bring a new taste to the industry and to present the experience of our national drink rakı to a wider audience.

Sarper Alcoholic Beverages entered the rakı industry in the summer of 2007 with the aim of producing the most innovative and highest quality rakı in Turkey. An investment of 18 million dollars has been made for the Beylerbeyi rakı production facilities with an annual production capacity of 6 million liters. Sarper Alcoholic Beverages plans to invest a further 25 million dollars in the industry within the next 5 years, and initially targets a 12 percent market share.

Beylerbeyi, 'the rakı of gentlemen' enters the market

Beylerbeyi rakı produced by Sarper Alcoholic Beverages is now on the market. The company will also present Beyoğlu Rakı, which has a sharper palate, to the market in a month.

There is a new name on the rakı market: Beylerbeyi Rakı. The most important characteristic of Beylerbeyi, produced by the İzmirian company Sarper Alcoholic Beverages, is the triple distillation production process. Speaking at the launch meeting of the new brand, Bülent Sarper, Chairman of Sarper Alcoholic Beverages, stated that they had made an investment of 20 million dollars.

Sarper added that they planned to make a further 25 million dollars of investment in the next 5 years and explained: "We have entered the industry with very strong ambition and we will continue to invest. We plan to produce liquor varieties such as vodka and gin in the future. We plan a further investment of 15 million dollars." Sarper stated that they targeted a 12  percent market share, and added, "Our target is the top three. I believe we can achieve this target with the high quality rakı we produce." The price of Beylerbeyi Rakı, produced at the facilities at the Akhisar district of Manisa, will be 26 YTL for the 70 cc bottle. The marketing slogan of the rakı will be, "the rakı of gentlemen." Ferit Sarper, Vice Chairman of Sarper Alcoholic Beverages explained that they planned to export 20 percent of their production, and added: "We will begin our export activities in Germany. The capacity of our factory is 6 million liters. We plan to export 20 percent of our production." Sarper Alcoholic Beverages, presenting Beylerbeyi, the latest brand on the rakı market, targets an annual revenue of 100 million YTL. The company will present a new rakı to the market in a month. The name of this rakı, which has a sharper palate, will be Beyoğlu Rakı.

Sarper enters raki market with 20 million dollar investment

Sarper Alcoholic Beverages, a company active in the tobacco industry for 63 years, have entered the 50 million liter rakı market with "Beylerbeyi," "the rakı of gentlemen." Bülent Sarper, chairman of Sarper Alcoholic Beverages, explained that they had invested 20 million dollars in the facilities they have installed in Manisa Akhisar and that they planned to invest a further 25 million dollars in the next 5 years in the rakı industry, stated that they "aimed to enter the first three of the market."

Speaking at the meeting organized for the promotion of "Beylerbeyi Rakı," Sarper stated that when they took the decision to enter the rakı industry, they determined quite a high target and set out to create a special rakı. Sarper noted that their greatest profit from tobacco production had been the reciprocal trust they had developed with the Aegean farmer and producer, added, "The Aegean also means grapes. Just like we have sought the best in tobacco for 63 years, we now set out with the best grapes of the Aegean for our rakı production." Sarper explained that they had invested 20 million dollars to build an ambitious plant with 80 thousand square meter open and 13 thousand square meter closed area in the Manisa City Akhisar Organized Industrial Zone to achieve their goal of reaching the top three of the industry, noted, "The plant is equipped with the latest technology and has a production capacity of 6 million liters. We plan to invest a further 25 million dollars in the industry in the next 5 years. We plan to enter the top three of this market with a volume of 50 million liters."

Triple distilled
Ali Gök, General Director of Sarper Alcoholic Beverages, explained that their preference of making triple distilled rakı their quality standard and presenting their product to the consumer with no price difference was a first in the industry. Explaining that the industry standard double distillation took 48 hours, whereas the triple distillation took 96 hours, Gök noted that the "heart of hearts" technique used in triple distillation produced a far purer and tastier raki.

We plan to enter the top three of this market with a volume of 50 million liters." Sarper stated that Beylerbeyi plans to meet the consumer at 130 thousand sales points with a wide retailer network and vehicle fleet across Turkey.
